Flashing requires a Chrome/Edge browser and connecting the device via USB

Description

A functional daily timer for automating routine tasks: watering, ventilation, heating/cooling, etc. It is possible to set 2 timers per day * 7 days. It features high accuracy thanks to RTC and stable operation due to dynamic memory optimization.
Schedule can be configured via UART, which simplifies initial setup.
The list of all available commands and their syntax can be obtained by sending the ? command to Terminal.

Features

  • Configuration via buttons and UART;
  • Time display in 12H/24H format;
  • Setting the turn-on time by days of the week and operating interval;
  • Manual mode (On/Off), early shutoff (before time expires);
  • If the timer was turned off early, the next load activation will occur on schedule;
  • Power outage? No problem! The timer remembers everything and will turn on the load on schedule as soon as the power grid is restored.

Required modules:

  • Oledduino board with SSH1106 I2C screen installed
  • CP2102 USB stick for flashing
  • RTC DS1307 clock module
  • 1-channel relay module, 5V

Connection

  • Connecting RTC module: SDA → A4 and SCL → A5
  • Connecting buttons according to Circuit Diagram: Button1 → A0 and Button 2 → A1
  • Connecting relay to pin D13 by default.

Button Operations

The assignment of the mentioned buttons changes dynamically depending on which mode is currently displayed on the OLED screen.

  • On the Home screen:
    • Short press on Button1 to change time format 12H/24H;
    • Long press on Button1 to enter clock adjustment mode;
    • Short press on Button2 for manual relay activation;
    • Long press on Button2 to enter timer schedule adjustment mode.

  • Time/Schedule setup screen:
    • Short press on Button1 cycles through fields;
    • Short press on Button2 changes field parameter;
    • Long press on Button1 saves clock settings;
    • Long press on Button2 saves timer settings;
    • Auto-exit from settings menu after 10 seconds of inactivity.

Connection

  1. Connect Oledduino/Arduino Nano/Mini to computer via USB
  2. Click the "Flash Device" button
  3. In the appeared window, select the COM port corresponding to the board
  4. Wait for the flashing process to complete
  5. The device will automatically reboot, or reset the board manually, after which the device is ready to work

FAQ

Q: What browsers are supported?
A: Chrome 89+, Edge 89+, Opera 76+

Q: Cannot connect to the device
A: Check the USB cable and install CH340/CP2102 drivers

Q: Firmware does not upload at all
A: Physically disconnect the USB and reconnect it. Refresh the page and try again

Q: The board rebooted, but the flashing process froze
A: This is due to a synchronization error. Typical CH340/CP2102 error. Physically disconnect USB, reconnect it, refresh the page and try again

Q: No Web Serial connection to the board
A: Disconnect USB, reconnect it, refresh the browser page and try again

About

OLEDDUINO is an OLED-focused, 100% Arduino IDE-compatible development board. It is ideal for telemetry/measurement projects, automation, and any other project that requires displaying information.

The Rich Kit comes with sensors and everything you need to get started quickly. The kit also includes an OLED bezel, a front frame for mounting on the surface of the case, which gives a finished look to your DIY project or prototype. An ideal gift for a schoolchild, student, or DIY-maker.

It is important to note: Oledduino is not a closed system. It remains a tool for engineers, enthusiasts, and programmers who want to write their own code, experiment with peripherals, and expand functionality. The development board can be used without a screen, like a regular Arduino Nano/Mini.

IT'S JUST THE BEGINNING!
